"The Destiny community and all Destiny fans ARE CURRENTLY STARTING TO SPAM THE INTERNET because of Destiny 3, the sequel that is supposed to come out."

The Destiny community and all Destiny fans ARE CURRENTLY STARTING TO SPAM THE INTERNET because of Destiny 3, the sequel that is supposed to come out.

After we found out that Destiny 2 is entering maintenance mode and won’t really be getting many huge expansions anymore, and the worst part; that Destiny 3 still isn’t even in development at all... Fans started a massive petition campaign to force Sony to greenlight the beginning of Destiny 3’s development.

The number of signatures is currently growing insanely fast; first it was 20k, then 40k, then 75k, THEN EVEN 100K, AND NOW... 120k+ signatures, which is honestly crazy.

People are extremely emotional about this and really want a Destiny 3 game. A lot of Destiny players have been playing this franchise since 2014, and many people say that Destiny helped them through very difficult periods in life and brought them friends, became their comfort game, and practically part of their identity.
The community literally does not want Destiny to end like this.

However, there is one small problem; and that is that Bungie is currently wrapping up active development for Destiny 2 and focusing on Marathon. There isn’t even a confirmed Destiny 3, and they are reportedly even planning more layoffs.
All of this caused massive panic mode among fans, and many feel like Sony and Bungie are abandoning Destiny because of the new extraction shooter trend in the gaming industry.

The community is divided on this; some say they need to show Sony that there is still a market for Destiny 3, while others say that a Change.org petition will not change anything and that Sony already has all the player statistics. Some people even think that if Destiny 3 was profitable enough, they would have already made it.
Both sides honestly make sense.

The most interesting thing here is that fans are now planning a massive "log in day" on June 9th.
The idea behind this is that a huge number of players will log in at the same time in order to show the developers that Destiny still has a crazy playerbase. THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY IS NOW TRYING TO PULL OFF A LAST STAND MOMENT FOR THE WHOLE FRANCHISE!

The Destiny community is still incredibly passionate and people obviously want Destiny 3.
But right now nothing shows that Sony plans to make it.

And the whole situation is honestly pretty sad for long-time fans.
