"Allegedly, all single-player games, that is non-VR games that use Denuvo Anti-Tamper, HAVE BEEN CRACKED! DRM no longer protects games"

Allegedly, all single-player games, that is non-VR games that use Denuvo Anti-Tamper, HAVE BEEN CRACKED!

This means that DRM no longer protects games like it used to, and pirated versions are appearing faster.

This is not an official confirmation from Denuvo Software Solutions, but rather a claim from the cracker community, and there is no universal proof that every single game is affected. So it’s not total game over for Denuvo, but it is a very big hit.

Denuvo has for years been one of the hardest DRM protections to crack, and the reason why games take months to get cracked (and sometimes never get cracked, like Like a Dragon games, which is why my friend keeps asking me to family share them nonstop). BUT if this becomes reality, piracy will speed up, and DRM starts losing its purpose (and then my friend might finally stop asking me to family share Yakuza games).

Here in this situation, there are two sides to the story;

For players, this means more accessibility, especially in regions where games are expensive or banned, and they won’t have to wait months for a crack.

For the industry however, developers could lose revenue, which is very bad. And it’s possible they will develop even more aggressive DRM systems in the future which will automatically be bad for piracy community. Remember how long Denuvo hold its walls all the way up till now? Just imagine what might happen next if developers decide to make more agressive DRM systems.

If Denuvo weakens, developers might switch to other DRM systems and focus more on online features that are harder to pirate. Or they might simply remove DRM after launch, which some already do.

This is more of a sign that the war between DRM vs crackers is shifting again. It doesn’t mean Denuvo is dead, just that it’s no longer untouchable like before.
