Call of Duty MOVIE officially announced for 2028!

Call of Duty movie has officially been confirmed! But it’s only coming in 2028.

What definitely none of us expected is a movie based on Call of Duty! But here we are, it finally happened.

The movie is officially confirmed, and the release date has been revealed; it’s coming out on June 30, 2028.
It will be made by Activision and Paramount.
However, right now it’s more of an announcement than an actual concrete project.

What we do know is that the movie has been in development for quite some time and that it has a serious team behind it. Peter Berg as the director, and Taylor Sheridan as the writer. Their goal is to create a serious military movie that will be realistic, with a big spectacle.

However, we still don’t know who exactly is in the cast, nor whether it’s based on Modern Warfare, Black Ops, or even something new, so we don’t know what the story is exactly. It might not even follow any specific Call of Duty game, but instead be something completely new, although of course even that is not confirmed.
But there’s a high chance it will be a new story in the CoD universe instead of a direct adaptation.

From everything we know so far and what we’ve concluded, as well as from their own words, we can expect the movie to be something like a mix of special forces, covert operations, and America vs some global threat.
Everything shown so far can basically be compared to modern war movies that have that “secret agents saving the world while no one knows” vibe.

The fact that the release date is so far away is a very interesting part. The project existed even before 2018 and was delayed, sitting in limbo for years. Now it has been seriously revived again. That’s why the date is so far out, because they only recently started full production!

This won’t be just one movie, but there are plans to potentially create a whole Call of Duty cinematic universe, similar to Marvel.

If this first one that comes out in 2028 succeeds, it’s possible there will be sequels, and maybe even series!
