“Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is getting a lot of new content, as well as some major gameplay changes.”

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is getting a lot of new content, as well as some major gameplay changes.

Ubisoft has finally revealed more details about Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and it now turns out that the project isn't just another standard remake with prettier graphics while everything else stays the same. No, not at all! Alongside visual upgrades, the game is also getting new missions, additional story content for certain characters, and significant changes to its gameplay systems.

The most interesting part of all this, and probably the biggest surprise, is that Ubisoft has started expanding the original content. Edward Kenway and several side characters will receive brand-new scenes and additional storylines that didn't exist in the original Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. This includes new missions, as well as a lot of expanded content related to pirates and the Caribbean setting. On top of that, the modern-day segments won't be exactly the same as they were back in 2013, and will instead be adapted to fit the newer Assassin's Creed universe.

Many fans expected nothing more than a graphical remake, but Ubisoft is clearly trying to create a modern version of Black Flag. Parkour has been improved and is inspired by newer entries in the series, stealth has been modernized, and combat has gained more depth. They've also upgraded animations, lighting, water effects, weather systems, and more. All of this should make the naval battles even more impressive, which was most likely one of Ubisoft's main goals.

Fan reactions have been mostly positive. Players are surprised by the amount of new content Ubisoft has added to this remake of Black Flag, and many believe the project is starting to feel more like a reimagining than just another standard remake.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced looks like a much more ambitious project than people originally expected. If Ubisoft manages to preserve the soul of the original game while adding new content and modernized gameplay for today's audience, fans could be looking at one of the best comeback versions of an Assassin's Creed game yet.
