Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas Remastered versions, as well as Fallout 5, are in development! Officially confirmed by Bethesda!
After so many months of rumors, Bethesda has finally confirmed that remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are officially in the works. On top of that, the studio also confirmed that Fallout 5 is officially in development, although the project is still in its early stages and won't be arriving anytime soon...
According to the latest information shared by Todd Howard, both remasters are part of Bethesda's long-term plan for the Fallout franchise. Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas will receive Remastered versions, but they still haven't been fully revealed. Release dates and specific details about the improvements also remain undisclosed.
Bethesda also confirmed that Fallout 5 is in pre-production. Although development has officially begun, the studio's main priority remains finishing The Elder Scrolls VI, which basically means that fans will have to wait quite a bit longer for the next legendary Fallout game.
Loyal Fallout fans reacted to this news with huge excitement, especially because of the confirmation that two of the franchise's most beloved games are returning. However, many are disappointed that Bethesda still hasn't revealed any exact release dates, so it remains uncertain how long fans will have to wait for the remasters and Fallout 5.
