ARC Raiders is finally adding Denuvo Anti-Cheat, after its success in The Finals. Embark Studios recently confirmed it as well.

Embark Studios confirmed that ARC Raiders is now finally using Denuvo Anti-Cheat, and this system was first added only to a limited number of players.
The decision reportedly comes after a successful rollout in The Finals. However... This news caused very mixed reactions among PC players.
Embark Studios is focused on preventing cheaters before the launch of this game.

For now, we only know that the anti-cheat was not added to all players immediately. Embark Studios first tested the system on a smaller player pool. Embark Studios claims that this anti-cheat implementation worked well in The Finals.
Denuvo here is not just DRM for performance and piracy, but is now also an anti-cheat security layer for this game. Their goal is for the game to have as few cheaters as possible and generally create a better competitive environment, but also a more stable matchmaking experience as well.
Embark Studios obviously wants to use this solution to avoid cheat problems right from the start before it becomes too late.

Part of the playerbase supports the decision to add anti-cheat, especially PvP community-focused players. But many PC players have an instant negative reaction to even hearing the name Denuvo. Their biggest fears are performance impact, kernel-level access concerns, and privacy questions.
Some people believe that anti-cheat practically has to exist in multiplayer games today, while for others the word Denuvo alone immediately triggers alarm bells.

Embark Studios is obviously pushing ARC Raiders as a serious live-service shooter, trying to protect the game's longevity from the very launch period. This shows how important anti-cheat has become for the extraction and PvP genre, because cheaters today can literally destroy a multiplayer game at launch before it even has the chance to survive.

ARC Raiders is getting Denuvo Anti-Cheat, Embark Studios says the system was successful in The Finals, and the PC community is divided.

The studio is most likely trying to protect the multiplayer experience of this game right from the start.
