"Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 brings a long-awaited fresh breath to the world of foldable flip phones, leaving the impression of a device that has truly evolved compared to the previous generation. "

Samsung did not just increase the screens and battery capacity, but put great effort into perfecting the interface, durability, and functionality of this extremely popular format. Flip 7 boasts the sharpest and brightest cover screen in the history of the Z Flip series, but also a larger main screen inside, with a new processor and increased battery — a perfect formula for users for whom daily versatility and style mean a lot.

The story of the cover screen is a whole new tale for Samsung. Flip 7 brings an impressive 4.1-inch Super AMOLED screen (specifically FlexWindow), covering almost the entire surface of the cover, without ugly camera cutouts that used to disrupt the impression on its predecessor. The premium finish is reflected in very thin 1.25 mm edges around the screen, meaning almost every millimeter of usable surface is utilized. With a resolution of 948 x 1048 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, this cover screen can really serve for reading messages, managing notifications, controlling music, or even quick interaction with applications without the need to open the phone. Additionally, the maximum brightness of 2600 nits makes it ideal for use in direct sunlight.

The main screen inside has grown to 6.9 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, with Full HD+ resolution (2520 x 1080), 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The new aspect ratio and screen width bring the feeling of a ‘large phone’ that, due to the folding mechanism, easily fits in a pocket. The screen is brilliant, sharp, and extremely touch-sensitive, responding smoothly in every scenario, whether you are surfing Instagram, watching HD video, or playing the most demanding games.

Inside works a powerful Exynos 2500 processor, and Samsung has sent the same chip for all regional versions this time (previously there were splits between Snapdragon and Exynos), which simplifies the situation. It is a 3nm chip paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB and 512GB, making the Z Flip 7 a very future-ready device for the most demanding users. With One UI 8 on Android 16, the user interface is optimized for foldables, providing intuitive management and a series of new AI functions like smart widgets and personalized notifications, which work perfectly on both screens.

The camera has been mostly carried over from the predecessor, but software processing brings significant improvements. There is a primary 50MP camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 1/1.57″ sensor size, along with image stabilization, which brings very good photos with plenty of detail and bokeh effect control. The ultrawide camera follows with 12MP and f/2.2, and the front camera leaves a solid impression with its 10MP. Samsung has additionally implemented AI functions that improve night shots and portraits, so even though not much has changed hardware-wise, the end results are noticeably better than last year.

The battery is one of the significant advances because it has been increased from 4000 mAh to 4300 mAh, which together with a more efficient processor means better duration during the day. On average, Galaxy Z Flip 7 can last 12 to 13 hours of active use, especially thanks to consumption optimization through smart modes for the cover and main screens. Charging is 25W fast via cable and 15W wireless, and there is also reverse charging.

The design and folding mechanism have been further refined compared to the last generation. The hinges are now even more durable, and the phone as a whole is thinner and lighter, with better weight distribution. Flip 7 is simply a superb blend of modern and retro style, especially for those who want an elegant device with a large screen within a compact format.

In conclusion, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 brings significant and important upgrades that make it the best flip phone on the market in 2025. If you want a device that combines recognizable style, a top display, and a long-lasting battery, while providing an innovative cover function and powerful hardware, Flip 7 is the absolute choice.

Have you already tried the Galaxy Z Flip 7? How do you like its new cover surface and main screen?
