With new shaping of form and specifications, the Galaxy Watch8 series brings the best wearing comfort along with leading performance, making it the best companion for daily health. The recognizable „cushion“ design, premiered on the Galaxy Watch Ultra, now defines the entire Galaxy Watch series. To achieve the smallest device thickness to date, the internal structure of Galaxy Watch8 was completely redesigned, and the component assembly system was improved by 30%, resulting in an 11% thinner design than its predecessor. With the Dynamic Lug system, the watches move naturally with the wrist, allowing for greater wearing comfort and improved stability, and thus better fit and improved health monitoring.

The elegant profile of Galaxy Watch8 is complemented by outstanding performance. Even when users wear it outside and it is exposed to direct sunlight, the screen is 50% brighter, with a maximum brightness of 3000 nits for easier readability, and there is also an improved battery that tracks an active lifestyle. Additionally, a dual-frequency GPS system ensures more precise location tracking, and the most powerful 3-nanometer processor to date offers faster performance and better energy efficiency. The unique BioActive sensor enables more detailed and precise measurement, by which the Galaxy Watch8 series offers a complete insight into the user's health.

Good sleep is a window into overall health; every peaceful night allows the body and mind to recover for a new day. Because of this, Samsung constantly improves the sleep tracking experience and offers „training“ for sleep, helps in creating the best sleep environment, and can even recognize moderate to strong signs of sleep apnea. Furthermore, the Galaxy Watch8 series comes with new unique health features in the Samsung Health app that help users build healthier habits through instant and motivating insights – from sleep and nutrition to exercise.

Bedtime Guidance can measure circadian rhythm and suggests optimal rest time so that users wake up fresh and rested. Vascular Load, the first measurement of its kind, tracks the load level of the vascular system during sleep. Whether it's beginners or experienced runners, the Galaxy Watch8 series brings personal fitness insights and motivates when it's most needed. Running Coach calculates the fitness level on a scale from 1 to 10 and develops a detailed training plan with instructions and real-time motivational insights. With the improved Together feature, which can now also track running, users can challenge friends and family and „gamify“ the fitness journey.

In case of sustained high stress, the High Stress Alert feature will instantly signal users to take a break and help manage stress levels in real time. With the Mindfulness Tracker, users can record their mood, and the watch will guide them through breathing exercises to reduce stress. Additionally, the AI-powered Energy Score provides insight into energy levels, combining physical and mental health metrics so users can have a healthier day – every day.

Easier watch integration with Wear OS 6 and Gemini

Developed in close cooperation with Google, the Galaxy Watch8 series is the first smartwatch equipped with pre-installed Wear OS 6 and Google Gemini, Google's AI assistant. Users thus have their hands free and can perform tasks on the go using natural voice commands with Galaxy Watch apps like Samsung Health, Calendar, Reminders, and Clock. For example, they can ask Gemini to find a nearby cafe and send a message to a friend to meet there – all at once. Or, if they are ready to start working out and have a desired goal, users can simply say: „Start a 30-minute run.“ The watch will intuitively start the workout in Samsung Health.

Additionally, thanks to the new One UI 8 Watch, the user interface is optimized for the size and shape of the watch layout. New Multi-Info Tiles allow easy access to health metrics, weather forecasts, events, and more, at a quick glance. There is also the new Now Bar and notification method ensuring that key activities stay at the forefront.

Tailored for everyone's lifestyle

Galaxy Watch8, Galaxy Watch8 Classic, and the new Galaxy Watch Ultra are available for pre-order in selected markets today and will go on sale starting July 25. The new Galaxy Watch8 offers an elegant and minimalist design for everyday wellness. Available in 44 or 40 millimeters, in graphite or silver, it offers comfort and style for daily activities.

Simultaneously, Galaxy Watch8 Classic brings timeless refinement to the wrist, with modern features such as a rotating bezel and a quick access button for added convenience. The Classic model has a diameter of 46 millimeters and is available in black or white.
