“Nvidia and AMD GPU prices have surged in Europe, with Nvidia up 41.3% and AMD up 28.3% since June. More price increases could arrive in Q4 2026.”

Average prices of Nvidia and AMD graphics cards increased sharply between June and September 2026, according to data from price-tracking website PriceSquirrel.

According to data published by PriceSquirrel, the average price of an Nvidia graphics card across 179 tracked models on European markets stood at €783 in June.

During the same period, the average price of an AMD Radeon GPU, calculated across 71 tracked models, was €644.

Three months later, in September, average prices had increased by 41.3% for Nvidia and 28.3% for AMD. This pushed the average price of Nvidia graphics cards above the €1,000 mark, while AMD recorded a more gradual but consistent increase.

PC Guide reports that another price increase for AMD graphics cards could arrive in the fourth quarter of 2026. The report is based on an earlier leak linking the expected increase to higher manufacturing costs at chipmaker TSMC. If the information proves accurate, AMD could lose some of its current pricing advantage over Nvidia.

Prices of flagship RTX 5090 models have also continued to climb on Amazon in the United States, while availability remains limited. The Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 Xtreme WATERFORCE increased from $6,899.99 to $7,055.90 between September 14 and September 29.

The ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7 White OC Edition saw an even larger increase during the same period, rising from $6,899.99 to $7,999.

Memory shortages are being cited as one of the main factors behind rising GPU prices. Additional pressure on the market may also be coming from reports that AI companies are purchasing RTX 5090 cards in large quantities for use in data centers, despite the GeForce GPU being designed primarily for gaming.

With another potential wave of price increases expected during the final quarter of 2026, gamers looking to upgrade their PCs could face an increasingly expensive GPU market before the end of the year.
