Disney+ and ESPN will begin streaming live NBA games in Bosnia and Herzegovina from October 22, with coverage included as part of the existing Disney+ subscription.
Disney+ and ESPN announced on October 7 that NBA coverage will become available to subscribers in Bosnia and Herzegovina starting with the 2026/27 season.
The agreement will run through the 2035/36 season and will give Disney+ subscribers access to selected regular-season NBA games, playoff games, Conference Finals and NBA Finals through ESPN on Disney+.
The sports offering will also include live events, studio programming, original productions and additional sports content.
ESPN will handle the production and broadcasts throughout the NBA season, with games featuring English-language commentary and analysis.
The new agreement continues ESPN's long-running international partnership with the NBA and marks the 25th consecutive season in which ESPN will broadcast NBA games.
NBA coverage starts with Warriors vs. Lakers
The first major game available to Disney+ subscribers in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers on October 22.
Selected regular-season games will then be shown throughout the season, including matchups played on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Disney+ will also stream up to 24 NBA Playoff games per season, including every game from one Conference Finals series each year.
The arrangement begins with the Western Conference Finals in the 2026/27 season.
Subscribers will also be able to watch every game of the NBA Finals during the following seasons:
2026/27
2028/29
2030/31
2032/33
2034/35
Additional NBA programming will include the NBA Draft, NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and selected NBA Summer League games.
NBA's European presence continues to grow
The NBA's international popularity continues to expand, with a record number of European players appearing on league rosters last season.
Among the biggest names are three-time Kia NBA MVP Nikola Jokić, two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, 2025/26 scoring leader Luka Dončić, 2025/26 Defensive Player of the Year Victor Wembanyama, as well as Ivica Zubac, Bosnia and Herzegovina's Jusuf Nurkić, Vít Krejčí and many others.
For basketball fans in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the arrival of NBA games on Disney+ significantly expands the platform's growing live sports offering.
ESPN continues expanding on Disney+
The addition of the NBA follows the recent launch of ESPN on Disney+ in selected markets.
The service already offers access to several major US sports competitions, including the NHL, alongside college sports such as the men's and women's NCAA basketball tournaments — March Madness — and the College Football Playoff.
Subscribers can also watch a growing collection of sports documentaries and original productions.
These include Messi: The Forgotten Tape, which explores the story behind a VHS recording that helped spark a battle between Spain and Argentina over which national team Lionel Messi would represent, and Ronaldo vs. Messi: Face Off, focused on one of football's most famous rivalries.
Disney+ is also home to the Emmy-winning Welcome to Wrexham, documenting the transformation of the Welsh football club under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, as well as Sneaker Wars: Adidas vs. Puma, which explores the rivalry between the two iconic German sportswear brands.
How much does Disney+ cost in Bosnia and Herzegovina?
Disney+ subscriptions are available from €9.99 per month, with the new NBA coverage included within the existing subscription.
The service can be cancelled at any time.
Alongside ESPN sports programming, Disney+ provides movies, series and original content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu and FX.
The first NBA game available through the expanded ESPN offering will be Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers on October 22.
