About

Zëiramzone is a side-scrolling action game which acts as a prequel to Keita Amemiya's sci-fi action movie Zëiram, depicing the young bounty hunter Iria's first encounter with the titular super-weapon "Zëiram". The player controls Iria in two types of stages. The main portion of each stage plays like a belt-scrolling beat-em-up where Iria must defeat groups of enemies as she proceeds through the stage, using punches and kicks to defeat them and moving between foreground and background lanes to avoid enemies and obstacles. Boss fights play like a 1-on-1 fighting game, where the player must deplete the boss's health before running out of life. The game consists of six missions in total, most of them containing multiple parts.
