Zafehouse: Diaries

In Zafehouse: Diaries, the player leads a group of survivors in a remote, abandoned town, to stave off starvation, relationship conflicts, and the imminent threat of zombies.

Surviving

Each new game create a new randomly created environment of a town, consisting of several houses and special locations. It is the player's task to lead this team of survivors explore new locations for the purposes of foraging food and items, modifying equipment, and setting up defenses against zombies. Each house or a special location (e.g. police station, hospital, etc.), will require investigation and if the player chooses to, assault or break in, killing any zombies in the way. However, without proper weapons, armor, equipment, and skills, such an attempt will guarantee a quick and sure death.

If successful, a new location may be searched to reveal items and other important features. Any location may also be defended, by setting up barricades and traps. Most activities however, may warrant unwanted attention, depending of the noise of the items used to conduct such tasks. Especially at night, when zombies are most active with low visibility.

Survivors

The player may lead a team of up to five survivors. Each survivor has a specified profession (e.g. firefighter, surgeon, etc.), with different social and physical traits. Additionally, relationships between survivors is factor in terms of cooperation. Some survivors may like or dislike other members for several different reasons (racial, gender, sexuality, or social status) and as the game progresses, depending on the players actions (e.g. spreading rumors), these relations may become stronger or weaker.
