About

World Poker Championship 2: Final Table Showdown is the continuation of the Valusoft World Poker Championship series. The most important feature that separates this title from its predecessor is the inclusion of the Internet online play (while only LAN was available in the first). The players are free to create a fully customizable avatar to represent them at the poker table supporting maximum of 6 players.

The offline mode allows players to participate in the series of events leading to the championship final. The difficulty of the championships increases gradually as the player progresses through the season. Players also have a possibility to play a quick game with pre-set rules. The game features ten variations of poker rules: Texas Hold 'em, Omaha, 7 Card Stud, 5 Card Draw, Pineapple, Crazy Pineapple, Tahoe, Billabong, Shanghai & Super Hold 'em. Other options include limits, blinds/antes levels, buy-in for the event and 10 different casino locations to choose from.

Game presentation borrows heavily from the poker TV shows. Two of the most noticeable similarities are off-screen commentary and percentage that appears near the player’s and his opponents’ hands showing their relative strength during a final confrontation where no bets are possible.
