About
Beginning as a simple love story, the main character must sneak into his high school at night to drop off his love interest’s diary and some WhiteDay chocolates to indicate his affection. Whispers of ghost stories echo down the school hallways and the game takes a chilling turn as the main character watches the school janitor bludgeon someone to death with a baseball bat while hearing children’s laughter.
Although WhiteDay uses a first-person presentation, there is no shooting here. WhiteDay is a survival horror game set in a haunted high school where the player has no access to weapons other than their wits. Ghosts and other antagonists must be avoided or simply fled from. Gameplay largely revolves around puzzle-solving to open new areas and rescue classmates. Occasional cutscenes also offer the player choices about which way to advance the story.
