Wasteland Angel

Wasteland Angel is a vehicular shooting game played from a top down perspective that takes place after a fictional World War III. Angel, the heroine, has to travel through this post apocalyptic world and defend the population from three different threats: gangers, renegades and mutants. This is done with the help of an armored car equipped with machine guns that shoots at other similar vehicles. The main objective of the game is to protect the towns that are attacked by the mean wastelanders. There are three different kinds of enemies that Angel has to shoot down: killers which attack her, slavers that capture the town's civilians and duals which can do either. The enemies attack in waves and between waves Angel can recharge her vehicle in specific areas. If all civilians are lost or if Angel runs out of lives the game is failed.

In total there are six towns (located all over the United States) to protect and each of them have four different stages: a day level, a boss level, a night level and a bonus level. The day and night levels involve defending civilians as described above while the boss levels feature larger vehicles that require special weapons such as napalm and mines to take out. The bonus levels changes the viewpoint to a first person perspective from the driver's seat.

Enemies can drop collectables when killed. This includes health boxes, armor, score bonuses and multipliers, special bullets (incendiary or armor piercing), weapon upgrades and special weapons. Special weapons, which are limited in use, include napalm, nukes, mines, spike traps, sentry guns and EMPs. Weapon upgrades follow an advancement chart, from machine guns to various combinations of gatling guns, rockets and missiles.
