About
WarBirds III is a version of the venerable online flight simulation, WarBirds, winner "Online Game of the Year" by numerous publications over several years. WarBirds III (Fighter Pilot Academy) is a store ready version of the game with several offline and online enhancements that match the major 3.0 revision of the game.
The most prominent enhancement is extremely updated graphics and terrain. Plane models are much more detailed both inside and out. Special effects like tracers and explosions are also present and more detailed than in previous versions of the game. The terrain is modeled from satellite data as well.
New in this version is a more detailed offline training mode, called the Fighter Pilot Academy, that will help get new players acquainted with the game. While there are some other notable game changes, the online version of WarBirds is still similar, featuring great plane physics, historical scenarios, and tanks and ships to engage.
