Wangan Trial Love

Wangan Trial Love is a street racing game combined with a love adventure game. It is a follow-up to Wangan Dead Heat, though with a much brighter cartoon style and a cast of cute anime girls rather than the real life models of the previous titles. The main story mode includes two different scenarios: a middle-school scenario where only kart racing on a closed track is available, and there are three girls to pursue; and a much deeper high-school scenario which includes street racing across eight tracks, car tuning options, and eight different girls as potential romantic interests.

The simulation elements progress largely automatically but can be interrupted at any time to perform specific actions, such as to call one of the girls, go shopping for car parts or clothes, or enter a race. The player's stats will change and grow as the game progresses, which affects which characters they'll be able to meet and what events are available. The player can also take part time jobs (presented as short mini-games) to earn cash for upgrading their car. The game also includes a free race mode for one or two players.
