About

Pure Physics. Zero Softwares Deciding For You.Tired of sports games where pre-calculated animations decide the outcome? Volleying is fully physics-based. Your control, your timing, and the bouncing ball dictate the match. Every round is completely unique and beautifully chaotic.Key Features:
  • Predictably Unpredictable Gameplay: Control your sphere, dominate the court, and make the ball touch the opponent’s ground. Sounds simple? Wait until the physics kick in.
  • The 10-Second Exploding Ball Rule: No passive playing here! Once you touch the ball, you have exactly 10 seconds to send it back over the net, or it will explode, costing you the point.
  • Dash Mechanics: Jump and trigger a quick dash in any direction (or upwards) to save impossible balls. Use it wisely— it takes 5 seconds to recharge!
  • Arcade Mode Madness: Catch random items that spawn on the court to temporarily alter your size (or the ball's), creating hilarious and unexpected situations.
  • In-Game Soundtrack Controls: Love the music? You can seamlessly skip and navigate between the soundtracks at any time during gameplay by simply pressing the square brackets ([ and ]).
Play It Your WayBring your friends over or use Steam Remote Play Together to experience the ultimate casual showdown. A Note From the DeveloperVolleying is a true solo passion project built entirely from scratch without a commercial game engine. Developed natively on Linux using C++, custom OpenGL, and low-level libraries such as GLFW, Bullet Physics, OpenAL, and libzip, it stands as a tribute to raw code and the power of programming from the ground up. Windows was utilized strictly for cross-compiling and debugging.
Every visual and audio asset was crafted leveraging the vast ecosystem of professional open-source creative software—utilizing tools such as Blender, GIMP, Inkscape, Ardour, and Kdenlive across the pipeline.
If you appreciate independent, engine-free development and enjoy the game, leaving a quick review here on Steam helps a solo creator more than you know. Thank you for supporting the open-source spirit!
