Each of the 42 levels has one main goal: reaching the end without falling into pits, dying from enemy touch or being tricked by level elements like moving platforms or trampoline platforms which shoot the hero straight into the a direction. The constantly rising lava is also not very healthy, but by collecting the lava down power-up it will temporarily go down. In later levels the player needs to collect keys in order to open the way.

The secondary goal is collecting all gems within the level. Then an expert version of the level unlocks with a rise in difficulty. Each missed gem also adds a penalty to the finishing time which basically acts as high-score.
