Viscera Cleanup Detail: Santa's Rampage

Viscera Cleanup Detail: Santa's Rampage is a spin-off from the Viscera Cleanup Detail game. As the title suggests, it takes place (and was released) during the Christmas season.

Santa went amok and slaughtered all the elves, reindeer and generally created one heck of a mess in his workshop. Similar to the core game the player has to clean this up. The tools to do this are the mop to remove dirt, ash and blood, his own hands to pick up rubble and bodyparts for incineration and a scanner to find hard to see stains or rubble. In addition the fireplace doubles as a furnace and bin/bucket dispensers are to the players disposal.

The game is very bloody with corpses of slaughtered (and dismembered) elves being found all over the workshop. The biggest challenge is provided by the physics engine, which requires the player to be very careful in mopping around. Further challenge is added randomly by the dispensers, which occasionally provide primed explosives.

While the suggested playstyle is to clean up the mess, the game itself is very open and encourages the player to simply mess around.
