About

Vantage Master is a fantasy-themed turn-based strategy game similar to Master of Monsters. Players control one of two opposing Masters who have the ability to summon spirits called Natials to fight on their behalf. There are 18 different Masters to choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses that apply to their summoned Natials; and 24 different Natials to summon which each have a set of distinct combat, defense, and traversal abilities, and an elemental and light/dark alignment which determines their advantages and weaknesses against other Natials. The game includes four modes:

  • Scenario Mode is the main story mode, in which the player selects a Master and proceeds through a series of challanges against the CPU, unlocking new Natials as they progress.
  • Expert Mode is a second campaign against the CPU, but tuned for expert players. All Natials are unlocked from the start, the CPU is at the same level as the player, and the maps in this mode are often designed with the player starting at a disadvantage.
  • Free Battle lets the player set up a match against the CPU however they like in order to practice different techniques.
  • Network Battle lets two players connect via various network services to play against one another head-to-head.
