Upgrade Complete!

Upgrade Complete! is an action game which satirizes the trend of paid upgrades in computer games. The game itself is a simple, vertically scrolling shooter where your indestructible ship must go through 20 waves; completing each wave requires destroying all enemies in your way. In between the waves, the player can buy additional weapons and equipment for the ship and then upgrade these elements, paying with virtual money earned by catching the coins falling from destroyed enemies.

However, the upgrade system reaches further than that. For one, at the very beginning, you have to pay to see the menu screen. Then you have to buy the preloader and the menu buttons in order to begin the game proper. You can also buy music, better graphics, the game logo, a background for the menus... There is a simple achievement system. Of course, you have to pay for it, too.
