Umi no Nushi Tsuri 2

Umi no Nushi Tsuri 2 is set during fishing season, in which the protagonist needs to win his father's approval to take over the family fishing business, but only after he practices fishing.

The player begins in a fishing town with limited funds and standard fishing equipment. To earn additional funds, the player will need to successful catch a fish and sell it at the market. There are different kinds of rods, bait, lures, and hooks the player can buy for catching particular types of fish. With the right equipment, the fishing techniques the player can do are bait fishing, boat fishing, lure fishing, and trolling. On each day, the player has limited stamina for fishing activities, which increases as experience grows.

There is also a Watch Mode, in which the player raises a fish inside an aquarium in the style of a Tamagotchi. Through a game link, players could trade and combine different fish.
