About
Down Under is an expansion for Transport Giant and it features a whole new continent map set to play with: Australia.
This add-on comes with new vehicles (train engines, trucks, air-crafts and ships), new industries and a new set of map textures. Patch 1.3 is also included in the release, making Transport Giant more challenging by adding train signals. You have an option to enable/disable the signals in the beginning of a new free-play game. Playing with signals is more challenging and somehow hard to figure out from the start, but the new addition has a new help section in the manual that will clarify most of the issues.
The gameplay is the same like the original game. You must transport raw materials, goods, people and mail from industries to towns and from town to town using any of the available transport ways (air, sea and land), and, of course, make money. The Australian campaign includes most of the real Australian transport-related events from the daunting task to build a transcontinental railway system to the auto-trains routes to haul iron ore from the mines to the steelworks.
