Three the Hard Way

Three the Hard Way is an RPG Maker 2000 title featuring turn-based battle, side quests, hidden treasures, limited crafting and humorous writing. Set in the fictional Kingdom of Durham, the game unfolds in a world plagued by the menacing "Kaibutsu" monsters. A hero, Carolus, once vanquished their leader, saving the realm and ascending to the throne. However, decades later, with the aging king delegating power to three diverse vassal dukes, political unrest threatens the kingdom's stability.

Players assume the role of Vance, a bartender from Somerset, whose quest for adventure (and money) thrusts him into the heart of the kingdom's turmoil. Vance's journey involves thwarting Duke Greene's sinister plan to harness the Kaibutsu to eliminate those he deems as malevolent.
