About

Theatrhythm: Dragon Quest is the third game in the Theatrhythm series and the first one to focus on the Dragon Quest franchise.

The player takes control of a party of four warriors battling through songs from the Dragon Quest franchise. The gameplay features both vertical and horizontal scrolling stages, where markers move in from one end of the screen towards the other. When the marker overlaps your target marker it's time to either press a button or move the stick in the way designated by the marker. The game also includes a "Simple Mode" that reduces the variation of inputs down to just button taps for those that find the game too challenging.

There are 65 songs to pick from and could be extended by DLC from the Nintendo eShop.

The game features three main game modes:

Music Mode - Play through play your unlocked songs in the true and tested Theatrhythm style. Challenge Mode - Clear challenges set to unlock more songs for the game. Sugoroku Mode - A Boardgame style mode where you try to race to the end of the board by throwing a dice, facing challenges along the way. This mode grants you gems that can be spent to unlock more characters.
