The War of the Worlds

The War of the Worlds is a 1-player strategy war game for the 8-bit Atari.

Based upon the H. G. Wells novel The War of the Worlds, the player controls an infantry, cavalry, and artillery unit in combat against the attack emanating from an alien cylinder. Played on a terrain map, player units can move quickly along railroad tracks. Each turn, there is a chance for alien cylinders or player reinforcements to arrive. Troops can be moved, and brought into combat. Aliens will wreck terrain, and the player must defeat aliens as they emerge from cylinders.
