The Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville

The Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville is a side-scrolling platformer with metroidvania elements. After responding to a distress call, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercap are zapped by Mojo Jojo, causing them to forget their powers, and are split up. Players take control of one of the three (starting only with Buttercup, but unlocking eventually Blossom and Bubbles) as they explore open-ended levels and fight enemies blocking their path. Through exploration, new power-ups are obtained, ranging from health upgrades to additional abilities that are required to progress (for example, a ranged beam attack that can hit a switch behind a wall). Players can switch between the characters on-the-fly, using their individual abilities as required.
