The Mummy

The Mummy is an 2D action-adventure game for the Game Boy Advance played from a bird-eye perspective that is based on the The Mummy: The Animated Series. The game starts with the O'Connell family traveling to Egypt to investigate strange phenomena happening at a dig near Cairo. There they meet up with Ardeth Bay who suspects Imhotep is behind it.

In the game, the player can freely switch between all members of the family (Alex, Rick and Evy). Each of the members have their own strengths and weaknesses. Rick is strong, while Evy can read hieroglyphs and Alex can pick locks. As the player explores the underground ruins hostile creatures like scorpions and undead have to be fought. The player also needs to find keys to unlock doors. Coins can be collected and used to revive knocked down members at a Ank circles on the floor.

For the PlayStation 2 and Windows, a different and fully 3D game was released.
