The Great Math Adventure

The Great Math Adventure is an educational game which aims to teach math skills to kids between six and nine. The player accompanies Lil' Howie on his adventure through six activities:

• The Big Time: This mini-game is about the calendar and the clock. The player has to answer a number of questions, e.g. ordering the months correctly.
• Blasteroids: This is a top-down shooter completely played with the mouse. The space ship can be moved horizontally or vertically in order to shoot space mines and asteroids. The asteroids have a number written on them which is either added (blue) or subtracted (red). The mines can only be shot when the overall number is exactly the same as written on the mine - but colliding with anything sets the number back to zero. The goal is to shoot as many mines as possible before the ammo runs out.
• Catch A Match: The player has to match formula and result in this concentration variant.
• Fractionizer: The player has to build a house by creating the correct wood lengths. This is done by using the correct fractions.
• Ice Cream Match: The player has to complete a pattern with the correct number
• Soaker: The player is given a formula (either addition, subtraction, multiplication or division) and has to click on the correct answer.

The games can either be played through the Great Adventure mode (the game chooses what activity to play and tallies up all points) or selected individually.
