The Black Heart

The Black Heart is a freeware 2D fighting game, based on the MUGEN engine. The story and characters are inspired by horror stories from films or books. There is another world apart from ours, a hostile place ruined by war and hate. A blood stained world... The king of this world has been murdered. His strength and will have disappeared as time passed, turning him into an old and defenseless being. In the end he was attacked by Final, a very powerful creature that emerged from the chaos. In a single attack he ripped the king's heart.

The game has six playable characters: an insane ghost-child, Peketo, obsessed with the color red, the spider-woman Ananzi, daughter of the prince of the other world, Animus, an immortal suffering man, who has been locked inside an iron maiden for more than 400 years, the worm monster Shar-Makai, Hashi, a member of an ancient race of wood men who were the main workers that shaped and constructed the Earth. A Morocco, a ghost that lies dormant within an ancient Japanese doll Creature Final is hidden character. Every character has various moves: normal moves, special moves, super moves, fatal move and killer mode.

The gameplay is simple, the player must defeat an opponent in a game based on 6-button attack buttons, like many other fighting games. The Black Heart has eight modes: story, versus, team story, team versus, team co-op, survival, survival co-op and training.
