The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit

The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a free single episode graphic adventure game from Life Is Strange series that serves as an introduction into Life Is Strange 2. The game tells a story of Chris, a 10-year old who lives with his father. Chris loves playing with his toys and impersonate his imaginary superhero who he named Captain Spirit. While interacting with objects and performing actions, Chris can choose to do it normally, or in Captain Spirit mode by using his superpowers. The game ends with a cliffhanger where it appears that Chris' imaginary powers start to manifest themselves.

Gameplay structure is very similar to that of Life Is Strange series where actions are prompted as the player approaches the place or object of interaction, with action choices written and highlighted in a pencil-like comic style manner. There are also choices in the game that affect the story and branch it one way or another, some of which can be passed on to Life Is Strange 2 game. Chris has a list of chores that he must do in order to forward the story, and the list is graphically presented on a piece of paper that Chris doodled. He also has a secret treasure map that he must decipher in order to retrieve a treasure he hid some time ago.
