Tamagotchi Music Star

Tamagotchi Music Star is a Tamagotchi virtual pet that expands the gameplay to include a music career for the player's Tamagotchi. The character can be given an instrument to practice with, which will increase its music skill and influence what type of band it forms with two other characters. Instead of the standard minigames, the Music Star instead has a music icon containing three activities that will increase one of the Tamagotchi's three skills: Tone, Rhythm, and Original.

Once the Tamagotchi becomes an adult, its band will perform in front of a panel of judges. How well the band does depends on the Tamagotchi's status, plus how much it practiced and whether it has the right instrument. Once the band passes the audition, it starts being ranked by popularity and has the opportunity to perform in concerts.

Tamagotchi Music Star was compatible with the Music City website, where players could obtain codes to unlock new characters and items for their device, as well as using codes from those devices to unlock content on the website.
