Stronghold Crusader Extreme

Stronghold Crusader Extreme is an enhanced re-release of Firefly Studios' Stronghold Crusader.

Besides version 1.2 of the original game, it also features a separate executable that contains completely new content. This includes the so-called Extreme mode for skilled players, in which the limitation on how many units the player can have at the same time has been increased to 10.000, as well as new support powers that appear to the right side of the screen. In addition, Barracks and Mercenary Posts produce military units periodically and automatically. This mode exists both in single-player and multiplayer. A new Crusader Trail with 20 missions is present, as well as 30 new skirmish/multiplayer maps, the three previously downloadable AI opponents and all the previously exclusive content from Stronghold Warchest (five AI opponents and the Warchest-specific Crusader Trail missions).

Stronghold Crusader HD (versions 1.3 and newer) is a high definition version of the 2002 game FireFly Studios' Stronghold Crusader and its 2008 enhanced re-release Stronghold Crusader Extreme. It introduces high resolution support to the game and allows the player to zoom out and view the entire battlefield on a single screen. For owners of the original game, there is an official HD patch to upgrade that version, free of charge.
