Star Trek: Alien Domain

Star Trek: Alien Domain is an MMO with RPG elements. The player must choose one faction (either the United Federation of Planets or the Klingon Empire) and begin researching, exploring, gathering resources upgrading ships and fleets, training captains, colonizing new planets, and fighting each other in a bid to gain better control within fluidic space. Each player has an upgradable base that conducts research and produces basic resources, while additional resources and equipment can be gained by completing tasks or defeating enemies. The game offers semi-automatic multi-ship battles where the player controls the unique skills of their fleet.

Star Trek: Alien Domain is set in the main timeline of Star Trek, after Voyager's return to Earth. During its travels Voyager discovered the extra-dimensional genocidal Species 8472 and their home dimension of fluidic space. After Voyager's triumph over Species 8472 the aliens retreated back to their realm and haven't been heard of until now, when a number of trans-dimensional anomalies have sprung up, linking real space to fluidic space. Many Federation and Klingon vessels have tried to explore those anomalies only to be trapped within fluidic space. There each faction must gather its resources, research new technology, create fleets and battle each other in a conflict orchestrated by Species 8472 in order to learn the strengths and weaknesses of their real space enemies.

The game is based on a freemium model, but all items, including premium currency, can be potentially acquired without extra payments.
