Stairs

Stairs is an indie first-person psychological mystery horror game inspired by real-life events. You play the role of a journalist named Christopher Adams, who investigates three different murder cases; Valerie Berkley, a high school student; James Reed, a businessman; and Jean Jowars Remens, a charismatic pastor. What happened to them? How are the three different cases connected to each other? Take your camera and descent down the stairs and the discover the truth...

The gameplay is completely based on exploring the environments. The only item you are able to use is your photo camera, and later on a torch. The camera is the main aspect of the game; You must shoot photos which where displayed in your journal, to progress the storyline. The camera is also used to discover secret passages/doors and it is required to solve some of the puzzles.

There are no weapons, no fight against enemies or monsters. The whole atmosphere is created by subtle horror with some jumpscares.
