About

Spartacus Legends is a tie-in game for the television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand that was created by the US Starz network. The game features one-on-one gladiatorial combat using various arenas in Rome. Spartacus himself is not present aside from the tutorial, with the player taking the role of a manager of fighting men in the overview, and the fighters themselves in the arena. There are many types of gladiators to choose from, with different weapons such as swords, daggers, large hammers etc. There are light and heavy attacks, grabs and combos.

The game is free-to-play with two types of currencies. Silver coins can be won inside the game to access a specific range of fighters and weapon upgrades. Gold coins are only available through purchases with real money and give access to separate fighters, weapon types and executions. The player must buy increasingly expensive equipment to allow his fighters to climb the ranks of the arena. The game can be played online as well, but only through a quick match that finds a random opponent, not directly from a friends list.
