Songs of Silence

Songs of Silence is a 4X turn-based strategy game with real-time battles, combining tactical warfare with a narrative-driven campaign and customizable gameplay options. Players assume the role of a leader, guiding their kingdom through strategic decisions that affect both military and political outcomes. The game offers multiple modes, including a story-driven campaign, randomized skirmish maps, and hand-crafted scenario maps for single-player and multiplayer experiences. The game has an Art-Nouveau-inspired aesthetic.

The game features a 15-hour+ single-player campaign with eight maps. Players lead Queen Lorelai and her people through a series of challenges, including escaping a Crusade and navigating relationships between hostile civilizations. The campaign provides three difficulty settings. There are also side quests and secrets, featuring quirky characters and hidden treasures.

The game includes over 100 randomized skirmish maps for single-player, co-op, and competitive multiplayer play. Players can choose from three map sizes (S, M, L) and two setup types (1-sided or 2-sided). The game supports Free-for-All or Co-op battles with up to six players and introduces gameplay modifiers called "Fates," which alter the rules of engagement. A separate game mode offers standalone maps with original story arcs. These scenarios include tiered challenges.

The game's world is built around three factions, 13 hero classes, and 37 variations. Players can deploy 113 units, wield over 38 artifacts, and utilize more than 150 skills to influence battles, armies, and kingdom management. There are more than twenty locations across multiple biomes, offering advantages such as resource boosts, unit healing, and fog-of-war vision.
