About
Second downloadable content for Sins of a Solar Empire, Diplomacy, true to its name, focuses on the relationship between factions. Set 25 years after the events of the original game, the need for Diplomacy comes from the absence of results following the Entrenchment of each factions. Note that despite this scenario, the game still lacks any kind of campaign.
The whole Diplomacy aspect of the game has been revamped: in the original game, the only way to be friendly with another IA was to accomplish mission for it. Now, the race of the player, his behavior towards the IA's ships, his donations of resources and his research in the new Diplomacy tech-tree have an impact on how he is perceived.
The new Diplomacy tech-tree also allows the player to gain access to a special ambassador ship and to the ability of giving mission to other players... or even the pirates!
To ensure the player has an easy access to the diplomatic situation of the galaxy, a new Relationship screen has also been added, and shows a detailed report on how the player is perceived.
