About
Sentinels of the Multiverse is a cooperative card game where three to five comic book heroes try to bring down a super villain. Each player controls a different hero, though it is possible to have one player control multiple heroes. In that sense, it can be played as a single-player game, where the player controls the whole party. The villain, who makes no choices, is played by the computer. Each character has a different innate power, and each one draws and plays cards from a different, unchangeable, 40-card deck. If a hero reaches 0 HP and dies, it remains in play, but with a very limited choice of actions each turn to help the rest of the team. Finally, each game is played in one environment, which can also play cards that affect both players and villains, with all sorts of beneficial or harmful effects.
The game was actually first designed as a physical card game. This electronic version is presented in a comic book style, with the heroes on one "page" and the villain (and his/her minions) on the opposite page.
