About
Royal Envoy 2 is a time management game and the sequel to Royal Envoy. The game consists of 63 levels. Each level, once again set in the fictional Middleshire, is played against the time with a ranking from one to three starts. As in the first game a level consists of single-screen environment where the player needs to direct and instruct workers to build and upgrade house, add gardens, produce resources, increase the villagers' happiness and train workers. Some levels offer complete different gameplay, such as engaging in snowball fights between the workers, rescuing people or navigating a maze.
In addition to the existing resources wood and gold, food is introduced as a new one with an equal balance between the three. Workers can be instructed to pick from bush, produce at farms and trade for gold. Compared to the first game workers are now the only unit. The player now has to click and collect rent instead of sending out a tax collector as a unit. Extra rent due to banks arrives automatically and does not have to be collected there. Resources can be traded with creatures such as leprechauns and pirates. Certain structures have been simplified for management, such as sawmills and markets.
