About
RollerCoaster Tycoon: Classic is a conversion of the first two RollerCoaster Tycoon for mobile devices, merging the original RollerCoaster Tycoon and the sequel RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 into a single game with combined features. The goal is to design and manage all aspects of a theme park including roller coasters. Game features and visuals are nearly identical, and the booster sections on certain rollercoaster types which are meant to accelerate them (as a countereffect of brakes and block brakes) which were present in the first game but not the second. Game speed controls have also been added, and several parks of the original had their parameters (pay per entry/ride settings) and scenery altered.
Some real-world parks included with the original RollerCoaster Tycoon expansions are not included (Alton Towers, Heide-Park, Blackpool Pleasure Beach), likely due to licensing issues. The Urban Jungle scenario is unavailable for unknown reasons. An exclusive scenario, Tycoon Park, is unlocked when all others are finished.
It is a commercial release with in-app purchases to acquire the expansion packs RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Wacky Worlds and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Time Twister. There is also RollerCoaster Tycoon: Classic - Toolkit to design custom scenarios and rides, and import save files (parks and scenarios) from the PC version of the second game. The toolkit includes a number of Six Flags parks right away.
