About
An educational game that resembles 'The Oregon Trail: 4th Edition' published by The Learning Company on the same year. Only in 'Road Adventures USA' we travel through the country not in the 19th century, but in present time (that is, at the end of 1990s).
After choosing a companion and a vehicle, as well as a region of the USA to travel through, we are given a clue on where to find a next clue - and have to research the state database, to guess a destination - and to find a best route to get there. At the same time, we are to manage our budget, read maps and road signs, handle some emergency situations, locate places to eat and to sleep at night - and even sometimes drive our car manually in 3D. And of course - learn geography and history of the USA.
The visuals involve digitized actors - as well as QuicktimeVR panoramas of many historical locations.
