Return Alive

Return Alive is a diagonal-down shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world. Following a massive war, a weapon called the Black Fog was deployed on the world, killing everything it touched, or mutating it into horrible monsters. Now, humanity survives where the fog can't reach, but the lands covered by the fog are filled with treasures of the past. When the fog lifts in an area, mercenaries will rush in to acquire loot and escape before it returns.

The player is armed with a normal weapon, a special weapon, a skill, and an ultimate skill. The player can choose the weapons and skills they want to use. Weapons and skills have cooldowns, with the normal weapon generally having the shortest, and the ultimate skill the longest.

Return Alive has multiple modes. The main mode is Battleground. Here, the player is dropped into a large map, swarming with both robots and monsters, and is tasked with safely making their way to the extraction point. The black fog will slowly retake the map, leaving a shrinking area of safety, adding a time limit. On the map are monsters, robots, and chests. There are both solo and group modes.

Other modes include

• Team Deathmatch (3 against 3)
• Blackstar Capture (3 against 3; the Blackstar will spit out crystals. The first team to collect enough crystals wins, but dying will remove your crystals)
• Conquest (3 against 3; take over a resource node; time with the node under your team's control advances a victory counter)
• Payload Push (6 against 6; a robot can move one of two payloads closer to each team's goal depending on the team controlling the robot at the time. The victor is the first team to bring the payload to the goal, or the team to get the farthest once time runs out.)
