About
Rayman Jungle Run is an auto-run platformer that's built on the technology of Rayman Origins and it also features the art style of that game. The player does not control the movement of Rayman who continuously runs forward. Initially all the player can do is tapping the screen to make Rayman jump, but as progress is made through the game new abilities are made available. The original game was divided into four worlds. In the first world, the player can only jump while each new world unlocks new abilities. In the second world, Rayman uses the helicopter to fly, while the third world allows him to run on walls. The fourth world is the only one that uses more than one button as Rayman can both jump and punch. Punching is used to destroy blockades and to knock down enemies. More worlds have been added in later updates.
The goal of each level is to collect as many lums as possible. Each level has a total of 100 lums and at the end the player is rewarded with skull teeth depending on how many lums he has collected. Eight lums gives a green tooth, a blue tooth is worth 50 lums and to get a red tooth the player has to collect all of the lums. By collecting five red teeth, the Land of the Livid Dead is opened up. These are harder levels without lums where the player simply has to make it to the end. A world is considered completed once all ten red teeth have been collected.
