About
Rage for mobile devices puts the player in a type of horror fun house ride. The player is a contestant on a wasteland post-apocalyptic game show called Mutant Bash TV. The rather creepy looking show host provides commentary regarding the effectiveness of the player during the ride through the fun house levels filled with mutant killing horror.
The player is connected to a predetermined path or rail through the levels and must shoot key items such as ammo, health and of course mutants to survive. Weapon choices are pistol, shotgun or machine gun each with benefits depending on the mutants range and attack style. The game uses the mobile part of the id Tech 5 engine which is also found in the 2011 release of Rage. The game features only three levels: Tenements, Asylum and Bunker. There are four difficulty settings from easy to nightmare. The levels have a museum mode without mutants. Achievements and Leader Boards are supported through Game Center.
There are two distinct versions of the game, the standard version which is meant for older generation devices (both iPhone and iPad) and the HD version which is meant for current generation devices with higher resolutions and more processing power.
