Puyo Puyo Chronicle

Arle Nadja has been through a lot of crazy adventures before, but nothing quite like this! On a peaceful day in Primp Town, Arle and her good friend Carbuncle were enjoying the day, when all of a sudden, a book with a moon and sun dropped from the sky and transported the dynamic duo into a strange new world! Why? As it turns out, she's the so-called "Great Hero" of this particular world. But there's no time for dilly-dallying... Arle, aided by an adventurer named Ally, and a host of other friends that also got sucked in, may as well high-tail it to the tower if she's to fulfill her destiny in this world... and to make it back to hers.

Puyo Puyo Chronicle is a puzzle/RPG set in the Puyo Puyo universe where Arle Nadja and a host of other allies must fight through a world full of monsters to save it from total destruction. Battles are fought in a variation of standard Puyo Puyo fashion: attack enemies by making chains, while at the same time trying to alternately conserve health and avoid getting swamped in Nuisance Puyo! Winning battles gains experience and levels up the party, which makes characters stronger. In addition, a series of side quests can be completed, with wonderful rewards awaiting at the end.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Puyo Puyo game without the Battle Mode, where up to 4 players face each other in a fight to the last.
