About

Project Winter is a social deduction game for up to eight players, where six play as survivors, and two are traitors. The survivors have to work together in order to escape the snowy area before a lethal blizzard hits. The traitors work against the survivors, with several aids and tricks. The game has a proximity chat system, where players may communicate via voice or text to nearby players. Walkie-talkies may also be found, letting players communicate at a distance, provided they are on the same network.

The players have to stave off the cold and hunger. Being nearby a fire, such as the cabin's fireplace or a player-made campfire, will increase the player's heat, while cooking red berries and meat—gathered from bushes and animals—will satiate one's hunger. Should a player be too hungry or too cold, they might pass out. The groups may also exile specific players—possibly the traitors—from the cabin, making survival more difficult for the exiled player.

Survivors may finish objectives in order to call in their escape, for example in the form of a helicopter. An example of such objectives is repairing power generators, which require special materials that may be crafted in the cabin or found in bunkers, that two or more players cooperate in opening.
