Poacher

You're just walking along, seein' how your 12-gauge looks in t'moonlight, like, when Gamey accuses you of poachin'! Then, to make matters worse, he goes and falls down a hole. Well, can't let him get into mischief. Best go save him.

In Poacher, you play Derek Badger from Sutton upon Derwent, Yorkshire, England. You've gone down into the caves to rescue Gamey but ended up joined with a Spirit woman named Rebecca. She gives you better ability, like higher jumps, as the game progresses. You are trying to help her as the Dark Ones have broken their treaty. Poacher is a 2D platform game. You are armed with a shotgun and, later, get grenades. Still later in the game, you can upgrade your grenades to more effects. The game is reminiscent of Metroid or Super Metroid in that, as your abilities increase, like higher jumps, wall jumps and diving under water, you will need to backtrack to reach new areas.
