About

Phantom of Inferno is a Japanese thriller visual novel and a complete remake of the 2002 PC game of the same name. It has the same overall story as the original game, but utilizes the character, object, and world designs of the game's anime adaptation instead. The characters are now voiced by their respective actors from the anime series, who replace the cast who previously appeared in the DVD and PS2 versions of the game. It also features a brand new soundtrack consisting of 13 new tracks. Due to the fact that this remake was conceptualized as a console release, it does not include any of the sexual content that existed in some previous versions of the game.

Like in all previous versions of Phantom of Inferno, the player controls an amnesic boy codenamed Zwei who is trained by a secret organization named Inferno to become a ruthless assassin. After Zwei completes his training, gaining more trust among his colleagues, he experiences romance and betrayal as he uncovers more about his identity as well as Inferno's true objectives.
